I don’t think this would count as a graft. A graft by definition would mean you put another acan specimen next to it half/half, and it fused into one.

from the sound of your situation, just seems like a mutation, or donated zooxanthellae.

I Had it next to a green acan to the point where they were touching, so I think donated zooxanthele makes sense. Pretty cool. It seems like it went from one polyp to another one also, wonder if it'll keep spreading

You should make them touch in another spot and see if it does it again. I thought i read somewhere that this happened to a green and gold hammer that were touching. Interesting!
