Hi gang. I am looking for some small acrylic work to fabricate two pieces, one a replacement cover to a pre-skim box on an HOB skimmer, and a black cover to replace the clear piece that currently covers the outlet section of the same HOB. Anybody got a guy they can recommend in the valley? thanks in advance for your input.

why dont you do it yourself. its easy, especially if it doesnt need to be water tight. its also pretty cheap.

get some 1/4 or 1/8 inch thick clear acrylic sheet from lowes or home depot. or you can order any thickness and color online, mailed to your home. or you can use black spray paint for plastic.

get a small tooth blade for your circular saw. its like cutting plywood. its addicting...

I am forbidden by my old lady to do that much DIY anymore :)

i've never found HD to have any decent acrylic, and the small piece for the pre-skim box needs to be drilled and tapped to accept a plastic screw from the old piece.

You can try Plastic Depot in Burbank on San Fernando Rd just north of the airport. They do lots of acrylic fabrication there.
