Like I said 100's of happy customers. Customers are people who pay for services. I wasn't a jerk. The guy said that's not yellow. I told him that's what it was invoiced to me as. Honestly I didn't want to argue about it but that's what happened. If you guys don't want my corals go to the Lfs and buy from them. Oh yeah I forgot you guy want them for free or trade

I work a retail job and I think customer service is 99% of what makes business successful. I don't think a long day is an excuse. Just like in relationships. Once he/she cheats it'll happen again. The customer is always right. Thats my model. I'll say thank you have a nice day while youre cussing at me. Then smile. I've been into plenty of trouble at work and they haven't fired me yet. Real trouble. Lol.
+1
I work two jobs one (server for olive garden) second (sales and maintenance for so cal life aquatic service inc.) and both jobs revolve entirely around customer service. I hear ya, specially when you have to serve a**holes who are rude, demanding and leave no tip after working you more than you have to. On top of that, we get taxed 10% of every table's sales at the end of the night and even if I don't make a dime out of a table, I still smile, tell them to have a nice day and make sure I show no sign of hostility if I want to come back to work another day. Now, some businesses would say, "well I dont care to lose cheap customers" but hey a customer is a customer even the low balers are bringing in a couple bucks where you'd be making nothing if you're only expecting to sell the big ticket items. We have customers in so cal aquatic life services that buy their own stuff and only pay for our maintenance because they want to save money, and heck, I"m okay with that because we're still getting a little income from them. They're paying your bills, so like it or not you gotta respect them.

C'mon Nick, I know you from back in 07 as I welcomed you and your young daughter into my home and sold a lot of my corals to you during a breakdown so let's NOT forget that you at one point wanted everything for dirt cheap too bro. What did I do, I smiled and gave you great deals and moved on. You are a hobbyist like the rest of us so no need to give the attitude when asked about certain corals. Yellow or no yellow, customers are bound to ask questions before they buy...thats the nature of our hobby. Its not ljke the customer was asking for lineage for crying out loud. Lately some vendors are forgetting that we are in socal so they might want to ditch the attitude as we have endless options for buying corals and we do vote with our wallets.

With hundreds of existing happy customers and the apparent lack of need for new ones, there should be no reason to spend hundreds of dollar to sell at the show. I never like to bash any stores (online or not) coz we are all into the same hobby. But this attitude of "so California are spoiled whiners and everywhere else in the USA welcome me and my product with love and cash" is just not right.

Dude stop digging, what are you doing? I was going to give you $60 for a green hammer that I could go to your supplier and pick up if I wanted to, I literally had the money in my hand and put it back into my pocket when you started getting bitchy with my wife because I asked you which one was yellow and you went off the deep end, and now you're saying blanket statements that hobbyists just want corals for free or in trades? It's like you're in a race to see how much worse you can come off, you're already winning please stop running.

That's funny to see this feedback thread and feel that I'm not alone about his attitude issue. I bought his coral one time but never again due to his customer service.

I had been in every show in So. cal but decide to skip his boot every single time.

Lmao I purposely ask them hire much that stick is. I bought a mini sps colony at MAX and asked the guy how much that bush was. I like to see the different prices I get just because I call it "that green and purple one" instead of a bird's nest or whatever.

Everyone is taking everything out of content. He told me it's not yellow, I told him that's what it's invoiced to me as and then we went on to disagree about the color. There has been endless arguments of yellow and green in the hobby forever. I didn't tell him to take a hike or anything I just disagreed and tried to argue my point. I appreciate all my local customers but they are not the ones on here complaining. All I'm saying is I would not make the trip if I had the regular cost to do a show. I'm going to reefapolooza florida in 2 weeks and it's costing me 2500 to get out there after all the cost. I go to max because it right down the street and I have plenty of good customers and I always try to take care of everyone. I really didn't want to argue with him but he made me feel like I was a liar and the case is that exactly what it was sold to me as.

Whether it was yellow or green I'm not trying to offend anyone. The bottom line is people buy from me because I sell high quality corals at great prices and I will continue to do that.
