if its not cured then you should cure it... if it is cured then make sure it doesnt have any debris on it and add it to the tank

+1. If its dry you need to cure it otherwise you will get an ammonia spike that could kill everything in your tank. If it came from a tank that's running I would still do a cure for a week just to check ammonia, nitrate and phosates before putting in dt

Throw it in a tub or plastic trash can of saltwater at 1.026 with heater and powerhead. Change half the water and test ammonia and nitrate every week until both show 0.

Usually takes 2 - 4 weeks
Its just like cycling a new tank.
