So i want to add some t5 to my LEDS, Since my par ratting where so low im hopping these would help a bit, i already lowered my lights 2 inches and im incressing the % every week a bit till i reach 100% this should incress me by hopefully 80 Par compared to before, but i also wanted to add 2 t5s one on each side of my LED ( Front and Back ) on both sides for a total of 4 T5s, only using the 24 inch ones so i get less par in the middle and edges for other corals.

Do you guys think these would work ??

I like those but i dont like the fact that i cant split them up to have one on each side of my LED, and being as there 5 inches wide they will be tight on ither side of my LED fixtures,

But i think if i just add the 2 on each side i should be good for now, this is not permanent as hopefully next year im going to upgrade to a bigger system. So i will be getting some AI's or Radions.

If you are upgrading and your corals doing good, I wouldn't waste my money. That's just me tho. But if you must have them, then go with bigger bulbs. A 24" and 48" are only a few dollar difference, so just go with something bigger.

Well i was going to add 2 on each side like i said so it would be line one 48 inch all the way in front and in back. i was going to do 36 inches on each side 2 in back and 2 in front but i want the middle and side for less demanding corals..

Buy a retro kit at reefgeek. I just did this recently and love the way it can out. Without doing any adjustments I was able to raise my PAR by 100-150 instantly with just 2 bulbs. I'm running a blue+ and purple+.

Is there any noticeable disco effect since the fixture is hung so high and without optics?

The problem with Dave's fixtures is that they're designed for nano reefs, which most are shallow. Maybe optics would help, but it'd be hard to add optics since the leds are so tightly packed together.

Glad the t5's helped with the PAR.

What did you think of the color with the leds alone? Always wondered how his led combination looked. He uses neutral white and warm whites together.

I do get the normal LED shimmer but nothing to crazy.

Unfortunately optics are kinda out of the question with his fixtures.

Compared to other LEDs, his color combination is the best. I really like his fixtures. Most of my corals do really well, just need a little extra boost for my acro's. If I did t have acros I wouldn't need any supplementation.

I'll be running the T5's for a week at 3 hours a day. Really interested in seeing any changes in corals.
