What are your thoughts of john at advance acrylics? Should i have a big tank build?

It's a legit business and John does great work. Just make sure to only offer a deposit and pay the rest upon completion. I'd say that's rule of thumb with any type of Build To Order business.

I have bought from AA before and was very pleased with the worksmanship and turnaround time. And I paid on delivery.

Great builder but he needs to work on his customer service skills. If he gets the sump wrong, it could take him a while to fix his mistake. And definitely don't pay in full. Leave the smallest deposit you can.

its hard to beat johns prices and you have to make sure that you are getting exactly what you want. measure and inspect everything prior. Its also important to be clear with what you want too, put it in writing and like everyone else has said, pay the minimum for the deposit.

Good guys. I drove out there Wednesday afternoon placed order for a custom sump, which came out very very nice, then drove back out there yesterday at noon to pick up and it was ready just as promised. Very good price and customer service was good. And yes he will be @RAP. :dance3:

Like everyone said. Pay the smallest deposit as possible. Then pay the rest on delivery. Johns acrylic work is great!

all acrylic tanks will bow to a certain extend if it is not braced. Just how acrylic works
