One should be carful with rants, you just did to others what your saying others shouldn't do
Exactly. That was the point.
It's easy to make fun and tease others over silly issues.
But it's quite another if you have a real issue and people still find some fun in belittling you. The forum as I understand it, is a place to share ideas, exchange information and learn from each other about reefing.
Whenever a reefer has a problem with a deal gone sour, everyone wants to know with whom. Presumably not to ridicule somebody but to avoid having the same bad experience. I did not know that this is the third thread. Regardless, criticizing someone because of age, or income level is not kind or productive. Like I said we share something about a reefer who doesn't come through, like the guy who built leds but really only took your money and that was valuable info so as to avoid a repeat.
If someone wants to sell something nonreef related, it's ok although if the home page was full of guns, toys , electronics then maybe not much of a reef forum.
But you make a salient point, if someone wants to open about things in their closet, whether it be filled with outgrown toys or personal issues, I best bite my tongue.
The forum has been accused of bullying and I certainly wish to bully no one.
All hobbies bring joy, they all seem to be expensive and they do indeed bring us back to childhood. The glee of a pretty fish or coral, or even a piece of shiny new equipment. I relish that. I'm sure like most fellow reefers, I can spend countless hours staring at my reef or if I'm brave enough to admit it, hours reading all that is reefing on this forum and others.
