What are the advantages of living in southern california and owning a reef tank?

I'd say being able to get what you need for your reef by traveling less than 10minutes

for me...I love living 15min. away from the scripps pier for free NSW and have 3 LFS about 20min away.

for me it's the sheer size of the semi-local reefing community here. I can literally communicate with and visit hundreds of reefers and dozens of wholesalers/retailers and have access to multiple trade shows within a 2 hour drive. :top:
