IMO yes a little too high but nothing to be worried about. I try and stay between 8-10dkh.

Whats your calcium? Is it in balance with alkalinity? Sometimes alk might be way high and calcium low. If its off balance check your magnesium

12 is high for me 8-10 dkh is where I try to be at as this leaves me a cushion of +/- in case things get whack.

12 is a bit high, I keep mine around 9. cal 450, mag 1400, and dkh 9-10. U need to keep proper balance between all ur params though, cal / mag balance should b around 1:3 with dkh around 9-10. Seems like those params with a salinity of 25-26 do the best for my corals. Keeping ur salinity, alk, cal, and mag all in balanced ratios will help the most!

Okay so im running a calcium reactor right now. So in order to raise Calcium levels I would lower the Ph in the reactor to dissolve the calcium in a higher rate. But how would I drop the alk level? Thats what confuses me??

The reactor is to maintain ur cal and alk NOT to raise or lower it. Turn the reactor off and let the alk goe down and supp the cal. When they are balanced then turn the reactor on and start it at the manufacturers suggest setting. hth
