Amount of night time?

Its summer and my lights are on and off a lot later now. It comes on at 4 and turns of 12. So that only gives the tank only 6 hrs to pure darkness. Any negative effects? I know nature has about 10-12 hrs of darkness

Shouldn't be any problem. You can cut down your photo period to 6hrs instead of 8

Ill reset it for 6 hrs now..and my actinics a little longer..gotta keep the softies happy
