Try get it from fellow reefers. Not sure if the one you were getting are from the wild.

wait... you can have a carpet anemone but not at RBTA...???? i had bad luck with hadoni and other stychobla-bla-blah... are you talking about pizza anemone's...?

i notice more people have bad luck with e. quadricolor when they have poor lighting... they aren't that sensitive to poor water quality... the stronger the light, the better IMO... some LFS have them under VHO's or fluorescent lighting... that's dumb... they are high light nems...

Well I have them in my nano because in my display all they did was wither up, bleqch and hide. I'm running an 8 bulb in my display. In my nano where I ended up puting them is a 2 bulb pc(40w) and my carpet seems very ppy but my two gbta I got from fellow reefers died : '( and by rbta is hanging in there but won't eat so I feed it those filter feeder stuff and is now survived 2 month but won't eat any small fish or oysters and won't bubble up but my maxi mini carpet looks like its splitting now

I've had the best luck keeping anemones under strong lighting and high magnesium levels. I keep my MG at about 1800 now and I had a RBTA with a disk that grew to about 14 inches.

Here, there and sometimes everywhere.

Doesnt anemones primarily need a pretty mature tank? I went through 2 nems before I gave up. I am thinking of trying opne now since my tank seems to be flourishing (zoas are growing on rocks, pipe organ growing mad crazy, and coraline sprouting everywhere). Yes I do believe they needs good water, lots of light, and moderate flow. I am going to Jans Tropical tomorrow after work and see if they have any yellow tipped saebes in stock and hopefully get it in the tank before bedtime.

You need much better light than a dual PC. Seriously.

My Tank Build

I've found that my rbta love an upward flow like near the overflow box or corners. My setup is only 2.5 months old. One I've had for 5 weeks the other 3 and they have doubled in size (with twice a week feedings). I also have them under 400w MH
