Thought I’d post here instead of Coral forum. Thought it would get more views. If the MOD wants to move it, that’s fine.
Believe it or not, this is only the second Bubble Tip Anemone I’ve had. This thing moved about ten times in three weeks before settling in where it is for the last four days. Right above my Hammer. The Hammer is on a plug that I can move to hopefully another spot it will be content with. The question? Should I move it before they end up touching each other? Or will they keep each other in check?
That‘s how I use to let things be and go, let them keep each other’s space. But again, only second anemone I’ve had.

I say leave it. One, who knows if the BTA will stay and two they look like they would be fine even as they grow depending on flow pattern.

Just walked out to check laundry and glance at tank. Hammer coral is off plug and on sand. No change in water flow so coincidental? Things really open up when the defused direct sunlight hits tank. Hermits become way more active as well.

Once the nem finds a happy spot it will stay. I have 3 big RBTA in a large mixed reef and they never moved or damaged any of my Corals. Just don’t change flow, lighting … once it’s happy.

I find It interesting that I post my concern about them being too close and a little while later the Hammer coral is laying on the sand popped off the plug. Didn’t touch or change anything to maybe have caused this. So now I need to figure out placing the Hammer just with its skeleton/bone part.

Probably just got knocked off the glue by the snail. You can just push the base of the Hammer into a hole in the rock and it will be fine. I mount a lot of mine this way.

That’s what I did. They just seem sort of brittle. Pretty long so didn’t get to the skin part.
