So i woke up and my anemone had moved to the far side of the rock it was on. Then i checked on it a couple of hours later and it had traveled diagnoally all across the tank. keep it mind my tank is 48x36 and it went from corner to corner in less than 2 hours. I move it back to another location since it was near the pumps. It does not move and i leave to the dodgers game (yay we won!). I come back and its on the pump. some of its foot is on the pump but it doesnt look ripped or that it got deep enough to hurt itself, but its loss its color and its foot is really stuck inbetween the grill on the pump.

It doesnt smell bad, should I leave it in there overnight or consider it a goner and pull it out?

Just put a mesh guard around the pumps. Problem solved.

The nem probably likes the high flow and then is getting chewed up by the PH. Just nem-proof your powerheads and you'll be good. Good luck!

yeah I was about to do that before i got it but didnt think it would be such a problem. As of right now i used a net around the nem to get it to hold on to the rock. I will also feed it to get it to like the spot. I and going to look around for the mesh. what kind should I use?

I don't know if you can tell nems where to go. In my experience they will do what they want. And if they are moving it typically means something is wrong, either too little or too much flow, liighting might be an issue also. Don't always blame the nem, could be user error. If the nem moves, leave it alone..it moved for a reason.. Good luck

I agree with SchnitzelReef...let it go where it will be comfortable. That's your best shot at it thriving. Then once it's picked a spot you can manipulate the environment around it so that it doesn't get sucked up again.

My MP10 came with a sponge sleeve. You can buy plastic mesh from Michaels or Walmart that ladies use for quilting or something. They're clear and bendable so that you can create a screen for your powerheads. It won't be pretty but once it picks a spot maybe you can move the PH a little farther away and get rid of the mesh. Good luck!

I agree, one of my gbta walked over to one of the koralia. i turned it off immediately and now it's wiggling out of it. I'm hoping it will survive:(

Ive actually seen many people utilize this technique to get the nems to stay.
