Hey Guys and Gal's
Im probably going to get chewed out by someone for something but thats why im here is to learn.
I have an anenome that use to be really nice in color a deep red bubble up maybe not big bubbles but they did swell up. now its slowly loosing its tenticls i havent seen how they come off i dont have hermits or crabs that will rip them off so im at a lost there im not sure if its pinching them off itself its its able to do that. its also not just slowly loosing its tentecls its slowly look like its dulling in color and getting smaller. now iv seen stressed anenomes they gap really wide and expose there insides but these guys isnt doing that ever. iv been told that these guys dont need to feed often or at all that they would do fine with not feeding is this true? i know if you feed them they will grow faster and split or get huge . im just kind of at a lost why its not looking so good iv been looking all over the web and trying to do some research but its hard to narrow it down. any help would be welcome or suggestion
Tank specs.
Tank: aquapod 24 gallon
i have a 4 bulb t5ho fixture with 2 blue one coral plus and a purple thats around 94 watts. I also have 2 panorama blue leds over my tank as well. Do these give off any needed light the corals will need or is it all looks?
I run filter floss with chemi-pure and purigen
Run my lights from 10 am till about 3;30 i turn off my t5ho and leave just the leds on tull about 6-7 at night then turn those off.
I keep up on my water changes i do a 2.5 to 5 gall water change about every 5 -7 days.
