I'm running a 90g reef sps dominant. I dose brs two part on dosers with a timer. I'm getting lost in the world of brightwell dosing products, so wanted to see what other products people use.

Mg i add brs
I dose lugols 3 drops per week
I am dripping a few drops of strontium almost every day because the brightwell trace im using doesn't seem to have it. Im currently using koralle vm a few drips a week for vitamins and trace. However, don't really have an amino solution right now.

I do 10 g water changes weekly, skim heavy, have a chaeto fuge and 6 fish. I feed flake, mysis, oyster eggs, occasional cyclopeeze, phyto, zooplankton...

Cant it get simpler than this? My corals grow well, although i tend to overfeed.

I wouldn't dose anything but ca alk mg and the trace elements is added via WC. Since u feed a lot I would forget about AA or anything else. Your fish poops all the food your corals need. Your water changes provides all the nutrients your coral needs. Is that simple enough?

That is pretty simple. My WCs are only 10% though, it is NSW from a local source, and I do skim continuously. Does fish poop have strontium? My coral sucks Ca+ out of the water pretty rapidly...and I guess I should characterize what I mean by feeding alot, I feed once a day, the fish get food every day, and the coral gets food (oyster eggs or cyclopeeze or phyto/zooplankton, or other filter feed food) about every other day.

here's an fts

Fish poop won't have strontium but the water changes should add plenty. I've had very successful sps tanks and never added strontium, lugols, or any type of coral food. IME those just add nutrients and unless your nitrates and p04 are a flat 0.0 the aminos and extras are unecessary.

Just bi-monthly 20% water changes and ca/alk dosed 6 times a day each via BRS 1.1ml dosers. And mag tested and added monthly to keep above 1350 is all it needs.

Some people love to add alot of extras but I've never needed to and had great coloration/growth. Just my 2c
