70G CadLights Tank :) YAY!!!!!!

Comes wit stand, center overflow, sump, protein skimmer, return pump, and plumbing and light.

I have an opportunity to upgrade the skimmer, CadLights says the one im getting is rated for 120 so I doubt it will.

It won't hurt I would add it I've always used nitrifying bacteria to cycle my tanks just don't run your skimmer because it will pull the bacteria out

For some reason different company's have different instructions on when to turn your skimmer back on I don't turn it on until 10-14 days after I introduce the bacteria

Yeah add the bacteria and don't skim for at least a week. Congrats on the tank. I'll have to stop by and check it out

So after a few days i realized i made a mistake of mounting my power strip behind my stand. Yea rookie right haha. So i figured take some water out so that i can move it and relocate the power strip. After i got the tank moved so i can get behind it, i found a couple dozen copepods have died and were floating at the top. Yay me lol i made a lil shelf in the cabinet and filled the tank back up with the same water. Its a temp job till i find a permanent solution.

Also checked the water
Ph 8.0
Amon .25
Nitri .25
Nitart 10
Sal 1.026 ish

Picked up a jbj ato. :) but better yet Neptune apex. Installed last night. Really impressed. Water is cloudy, but i found out i should have rinsed my alive sand before i put in the tank. So a 4" sock is on the way to help out as well as a probe holder :)
