It's sad to witness these kind of acts in our hobby. Reefing, just like any other hobby is a leisure and a "want" on a person's part, not a "must" or "need," especially during these tough times. Financial hardship should be not be used as a means to an end to achieve your reefing "needs." Or worse yet, used as an excuse to steal from others.
Everyone knows you're not struggling to make ends meet when you own a 1000000000g reef with one hundred 100000000w halides running 8 hours a day and a mini nuclear reactor in your backyard for backup power.
I'm very fortunate to have the luxury to be in this hobby and I thank my lucky stars I can afford what I have. But if things ever take a turn for the worse, I'm willing to reevaluate my priorities and make accommodations given the circumstances. It will be difficult, but it's the right thing to do. I truly appreciate every person I've made an honest transaction with; it gives me piece of mind that there are still good people out there despite these tough times and doesn't deter me from buying from other people here.

Hey Richard, YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENED WITH IT, QUIT BLASTING ME...YOU FORGOT TO MENTION THAT YOUR GETTING MONEY FROM FILING A TOTAL LOSS CLAIM THROUGH FEDEX FOR IT. I'M OUT A SKIMMER, 3 CORALS, AND THE $16 BUCKS IT TOOK ME TO SEND MY SKIMMER TO YOU.. THIS WAS A MISTAKE, I AM NOT A SCAM ARTISTS, ASK AROUND, I'VE DONE TRADES WITH OTHER ON HERE...I JUST PREFER TO DO IT FACE TO FACE NOW! I DONT LIKE GETTING BROKEN STUFF EITHER, THIS SHOULD HAVE STAYED BETWEEN YOU AND ME NOT ALL OVER THE INTERNET... THANK YOU

You should of done more regardless whose fault it was especially if you sent him the wrong stuff back. I would of been so embarassed if I ever sent a wrong item back to a fellow reefer. If you indeed say the skimmer was shipped damaged during transit then I agree, its not your fault. It is your fault if you don't send the right item back even if you said your husband threw it away. At that point the fault will be on you for throwing out the skimmer damaged or not. Imagine returning a defective laptop you just bought from Best Buy but instead you returned an alarm clock instead.
