Scott anthias haven't been bred in captivity to my knowledge.

Buy them from a store that QTs. And get Lyretails...they're pretty hardy. If the store QTs it means they'll have been there at least a few days which increases your chances that they eat prepped food. Have the store feed the tank...buy the ones that eat. From there you can start mixing the types of food at feeding time and they'll learn to hog down on all types.

Yeah, I could've bought a cheap one wild caught, but I want tank raised ruby so it eats prepared food, not only pods.
And I want a tank bred Catalina goby so it's warm water acclimated.
The anthias can be wild caught, I just want them to be reef acclimated

I could be wrong but I thought the Ruby's were all still wild caught. Pretty cool if they have them tank raised already though

They mentioned that there may be tank bred ones, but that was in private. Again, I'm not sure that there are tank bred ones, My old tank has a big pod population but the one it's going in is a new one, so I need one that's eating pellets and frozen mysis. That's why I was looking for tank bred so if anyone has one that's eating prepared foods that'll work too

Seaside had a couple tank raised Catalana gobies on Saturday, don't know if they have any left. Pretty good chance a wild ruby will eat frozen mysis right off the bat. Just put a little extra time and effort in to train it.

Thanks Omar, the anthias dont have to be tank bred, I was trying to find tank bred ruby so it was eating prepared food, and the Catalina so it was used to warm water and wouldn't die

The ruby red will be hard to find because they're hot right now. If someone has one then they likely want to keep it.

The Catalina goby will be tough to find because I can't imagine many people breed them.

If you find either it'll likely cost you more than a normal one.
