Any ATI users use actinics?

Hey guys


Right now I'm doing 50/50 coral plus and blue plus on an 8 bulb 60 inch fixture.


I kinda want my colors to pop more. The coral plus is making it too white IMHO. I miss leds lol

Im thinking about getting 1 actinic and 1 purple plus and swap them out with 2 coral plus


What do u guys think?

I think 4 coral plus seems like s lot! I've always ran with T5'S and have always used ATI bulbs, the most any one with a big fixture adds is like 2, the actinic will definitely help a bit or swap out for two more B+. Maybe depends on what type of coral your growing?

Too much Coral Plus bro. Switches out 2 or even 3 corals plus with blue + and 1 pure actinic to get little purple look like VHO.

I'm currently running
5 blue+
1coral+
2purple+ right now. I was 2 p+ and the rest blue but it was overkill for me. I not a fan of a super blue look under t5, seems like it washes out some colors. I'll be adding in some actinics on my next bulb change. I had 2 in there before my Reefbrite for pop and they worked great. Not like Led pop but it pulls some nice fluorescence.

Now 3 B+, 1 E5 blue pop, 1 P+ & 1 C+, much better

I've got a junker T5 laying around. I'm toying with the idea of getting some E5 bulbs to throw in it for actinic pop.

They had clear lens E5 bluepops at RAP(shimmer?)

Yes they did -- Although I'm not sure if I want to get an E5, a Reef Brite, Setup my new XR30 G4, OR get a custom strip with Violet, UV, Royal Blue... Decisions!

Santa might be bringing me a 2nd G4... If that's the case, that's a real decision changer.

Dang I keep on losing track of my threads. Thanks for all th replies. You guys are right, I am using too much corral plus. I bought a purple plus and an actinic from brs before the sale ended. Thanks guys for all the help.

Thanks Dan for the tip! Looks better when I switch the 2 bulb to both blue plus.
