I'm trying to set up my 120g and need to install some outlets behind where tank will go. I was initially going to tap into a pre-existing outlet on other side of wall in the garage, but noticed its on a 15amp breaker, with 14gauge wiring. Now I'm wondering if this will be sufficient for my T5 lighting, skimmer, heater and all my pumps. Any help appreciated.

Ok, here's what I have gotten from all the labels of everything.

Lights - 216w x2
Protein skimmer- 70w
Return pump - 55w
Water circulator -7.5w
Water heater - 300w

Total = 864.5w

Plus any additional random devices that might plug into same circuit ( radio, vacuum, floor light)

864.5 watts equals 7.204167 amp (8amp)
A house hold vacuum cleaner can reach up to 12 amps.

By the wattage you provided your equipment will be okay on a 15 amp 120 volt circuit. Connecting a vacuum cleaner might trip the circuit breaker, do you know the watts of the vacuum cleaner and floor light ?

I'm actually going to use another outlet in the same room instead , and it's on a different circuit.Only thing going to run in the garage is a water softener, RODI unit, and my mixing pump.

Current installation will power all four devices. You will only have gfci protection on the gfci device. The other three outlets, will not be protected by the gfci device. If you will like to have the three outlets gfci protected, you will need to move your white to the load and the black to the load.( white wire is your neutral and black is your hot)

what are you tryng to accomplish?
Just trying to install a 4 gang box, but I am now thinking maybe replace them all with GFCI since it will be directly behind aquarium

...better safe than sorry? what do you think?

ALso can anyone supply with an example of how the GFCI outlets would wire up 4 together? Correct me if im wrong but I just need to daisy chain the line side correct?

No picture, but leave the hot/neutral outlets the way they are now, but move the wires to the top of the gfci. Then tie your hot and neutral feeds into the bottom of the gfci, that way all your outlets are protected.
