Anyone Ever Try Red Grow Lights?

I was wondering if anyone has ever made a study of grow lights like they use in hydroponics, for their reefs?

From Sanjay's talk, red was the color of light that he thought brought the most benefit to growth. And it would seem to me that hydroponic "growers" would be highly interested in a bigger yield...

I realize it's not that pretty but would it benefit corals?

I've got a very large hydroponic led grow light over my fuge. It grows chaeto and algae at a crazy rate. I might be willing to pop off 2 frags about the same size and see what the difference is. By putting one in the sump and the other in the fuge.
