It has been warmer yesterday and today. I had to activate my mini-temp release chiller once. Maybe do 2 more later when the lights are on. Tank is 78.5 currently before the T5s are on. Stay cool everyone!

I hope the weather forecast guys are right. They said it would be 82 today, but apparently the forecast is way off. I'm not home tomorrow :-(

My tank temp is hovering around 80 deg for the last couple of days. I have a fan blowing into the sump. No ice needed yet.

Hopefully its supposed to start cooling off...

My tank got up to 80 and the wife's tank got up to 81.7(but its just cycling) so we are alternating frozen water bottles for her tank..

My tank is sitting at 85.6 n my Ac is cranked all the way up. No money for a chiller and I live in desert hot springs next to Palm springs, been around 110 everyday lately. Also this is with ice bottles floating..

Sorry to hear Jim,
Switch the light schedule to night time helps a tiny bit, but not much during the summer. My house is above 85 but the tank is just hovering 78.5 to 80 with the fans......every summer we hear similar stories :-(
Btw, the chiller is pretty cheap compare to its bill in your condition. Its an expensive hobby.

Jim, get with the fans man! My setup is already down to 78 in like an hour and a half! Granted it's only 65 total gallons, but a four degree drop in a little over an hour I'm sure is beating anybody futzing around with ice bottles.

Fans only helps so much, depending on the room temperature. I can keep 100 gallons at 80, but my 200 my chiller kicks in every so often even with fans...

One of the reasons i'm hesitating to go bigger is temperature... the huge return pump... And Lighting... it can get really expensive. I guess solar makes sense then. Oh well, i am running out of room in my tank now.
