I have an electric car buffer and novus 1-3. If you just bring it to me I'll do it for you no charge bro. If you're still not happy you're not out anything. I did it to my 150 and it was a world of difference. I won't do the sandpaper thing though. I'll leave that to someone who's done it before. Shoot me a text!

wow. thanks Michael. I tried it once before and it was a ton of work for too little difference since I was probably doing it wrong. I guess you need some skill with the buffing wheel I might try it myself to see if I am happy with the results. but I figured if there's a pro willing to trade it'll help me get rid of the tanks. lol.

how's your tank going?

Slow. I keep procrastinating. Trolling is fun.

Any scratch you can feel with your fingernail will not come out with novus. You need the vibrating sander and like 2000grit sandpaper and up. Novus is best with baby scratches and haziness.

Yeah Novus won't really remove scratches. It's more of a finishing polish. And 2000 grit won't remove scratches either, it's more for prepping for polish.
Depending on the deepest scratches you'll start with lower grit say like 800 for example. Then work your way up to the higher grits.
If you're planning on doing all panels inside and outside, that's a weekend project.

I've done like 4 tanks in the past. I learned by watching a couple of youtube videos. It's not that hard just time consuming. Good workout for your arms and shoulders

I've done it once before. it was a b!tch. and sanding it made it a lot harder to buff with novus. I made it worst with fine sand paper. lol. I hit it with a torch and it cleared up but you can't torch it for too long. it causes bubbles. doing it myself makes me want to give up and I just lose interest. not worth it to me but I'm about to give up just because the tank is scratched. I anticipated no scratches but when the tank was taken down it too k a beating.
