Anyone seen chaoti wrasse lately? Are they seasonal?

Trying to remember the last time I saw these guys. Usually someone on here ends up with a few.
I’ve got a qt set up and a month before the new tank comes. I’m thinking now would be the time to try acclimating one of these fellas

I have been to probably 15+ stores over the last 2 months trying to stock my new tank and I haven’t seen one. It seems like selection is a lot more limited than it was 5+ years ago.

Probably really expensive with added. Freight. May not be worth the risk since 2-3 live out of 10

They are seasonal. Seaside gets them when in season.

Saw them about a month ago at harrys marine life. Had 4 but I'm sure they are gone but can message to see about next arrival

I hear ya guys, I know they are tough and the fact that I haven't seen them really probably means $ but I'd like to give it a go if it's not too outrageous.

I've never been to Harry's but thanks for the heads up @Mcatano. Maybe I'll check them out.

Good to know Seaside still gets that stuff in. For a while there they had all kinds of high end fairys/wrasse coming in but lately I feel like they've even scaled back on those.

Thanks man! This has been a dream fish for awhile. I was gonna throw it in a 20g until my tanks ready but just couldn’t do it so I threw some sand in the display

Those are on my list as well I see the rhomboids on LA but those are wrasses I like to see in person.
