j/k

how packed is your tank? if it's not TOO full, you can generally catch it with the nighttime-DAYTIME fakeout, especially since flames don't hide UNDER rocks like f'n wrasses.

otherwise, maybe bait the flame into a trap. given the propensity for zoas, you may have to bait it with that.. >_<

That what YOU think... they are very hard to find at night. But yeah I agree at night time would be best. I usually use 3 nets inside the tank and chase them towards it. Sometimes I get lucky and they get stuck in one of them. I use big nets like 8" wide.

I tried the bottle trap last night but this guy is smart he reverses at the mouth of the trap and wags his tail to shake off the thawed frozen food inside the cup. This bastard is a pig and just thinking of hooking him lol. I hear it doesn't hurt the fish much?

I've tried and it worked. Only problem was that I caught the wrong fish. Lol. Used a very small fly hook and just dropped it in and waited. Good luck getting him out.

I usually chase the fish with a small net into a large net that's set up for them. they usually get fooled by the small net.

I just caught my maroon clown after trying for two days with multiple traps. I waited for lights out. Then used the red spectrum light on my head lamp (supposedly they don't see red spectrum???) to find him then blasted him with the head lamp (super bright white light) and he was dazed enough for me to scoop him with a 3 inch net

Jeff doesn't need to spear fish. He just points at them and squints his eyes then they die in 69 minutes.

Just invite him over and he will rid the tank of the zoa eating menace
