Hi all,

So....last night I went to do a firmware update. During the update my router lost Internet connectivity and the process wiped my controller. I now have full internet access but can't connect to the Apex and am getting time out messages. Apex Flash finds the controller but I can't connect to it. It's hard wired to the computer and router. The indicator light is flashing orange,

Does anything come to mind?

You need to try and reload firmware. Use the apex utility. And try and reload. Exact step I don't remember on top of my head. I see when I get back tonight if you have not fixed it I will try post.

I'm doing it using the Flash utility. Is there another way?

On my phone that pic is blurry and unreadable. That is the error I'm getting if you can make anything out.

"Failed unlock attempt"

if I hit the 'update firmware' button on that screen that's where I get the error messages. It sees and connects to the apex in Flash, that was tested earlier. When I hit search for controllers it'll find it and show the name and IP address. This was tested by unplugging the Ethernet to the apex and when searched, nothing came up.

At the failed unlock, unplug the power(usb) and plug it back in on the apex. It should work. It will keep retrying and go thru. That worked for me when I had that error and posted on the neptunes forum.

I also posted on neptune's forum and this was suggested. Tried without luck. Maybe I have to do it several times?

I don't know what else I can do that hasn't been done. I think at this point I have to manually power things up and call tech support first thing tomorrow. But thanks for the offer.

Do you guys know what the status indicator light should do when you very first power it up? Mine always flashes orange when powered on.

Flashing orange indicates a corrupted configuration or corrupted firmware. I have a screen sharing technical support appointment with Neptune today at 4. Should be interesting!
