It's still free Mike. Haaahahahahahahahaa
Honestly, I'm a bit underwhelmed. There are some minor improvements but otherwise it's really just a new face on what you've already seen.
What I like:
- The connection is super easy. Just create an account, get the key from your apex, enter the key on the website and you're done. For a day my dashboard didn't show up but after a day it was there and hasn't left. But this beats setting up the dyndns/port forwarding by miles. IMO, I'll always keep my current remote access active but Fusion will cover most needs
-the graphs are nice and you can overlay another graph. So for example I have two EB8s...if I want to compare the amp measurement of both I can overlay one EB8 graph with the other and see what's what.
-Allow others access. Nik and I gave each other View access to each other's controller. They allow different security levels from View to Control (on/off) to Manage (programming, etc.) which is awesome. It'll make helping someone out with coding an outlet really easy to do.
-Alerts will go to my regular email without creating an account and configuring it via the Net Setup config. This is a big win. Setting this up the old way is fairly easy but creating more accounts and all that crap sucks.
-The dash is very easy to configure
- the outlet state is color coded so you know immediately what's On/Off in Auto Mode and Manual Mode
What I don't like:
- You cannot access all the config screens via Fusion. So for example the net setup screen isn't available as well as a few others. Having this capability would negate ever having to use the local IP on a PC to change certain things.
All in all there's more I like than don't but from a feature set standpoint there's very little you can do with Fusion that you can't do the old way. But it is easier which from their standpoint is a must in order to really get tons of reefers on their system.
