Just picked up a new toy. Any pointers or tricks before I try to set this bad boy up?

Connect it to your router and configure it there. Its pretty straight forward from there.

I set up mines last week, it's easy to set up since it comes with the latest firmware it's basically a plug and play unit, and since it comes with the latest firmware it's also fusion ready. One suggestion after you have the apex online, you should create an account with fusion that way you can control the unit through fusion it's so easy to set up email and phone notifications alarms etc....

Buy another complete unit because even their own customer service staff admit that they expect them to fail and that you should be prepared for it...

I'm glad I bought now, because every lawsuit they are involved in, prices go up. Let me know what product your buying next, I'll stock up on that one too.

Why not wait? After the lawsuit you might actually get a product that works CONSISTENTLY and is actually made to a high quality...

Or just keep buying crap that has no customer support...
