Let's keep it going!

This month's topic will be "Wrasse Flex Photo". So let's see who's got those wrasses!

The goal is to participate in this great community and practice your skills. Whether you are showing your best fish or simply learning to post pictures, you are all welcome to try.

The winner will get:

Bragging rights and just the satisfaction of sharing a photo with the reefing community. I can ask @EyeReef if he still has any SCR goodies, but looking at our Sponsors list...you might have to settle for a virtual high five...and the coveted POTM badge! :giggle: This local forum is going to be as good as we all make it! (y) Sending out good vibes to everyone who participates!

Here is how it works:
  • Each member can submit ONE photo entry into the POTM contest.
  • The photo must be one that you have taken. No pulling pictures from other forums, websites, etc.
  • Submit your photo right here onto this thread for participation.
  • There must be more than 5 entries in order for it to be a contest.
  • All entries will then be placed into a poll.
  • Photos can be submitted from now until the 25th.
  • Optional: Would be nice to know what you are shooting with or filters used so we all can learn.
After April 21th (or around that time based on my schedule), a poll will go up and everyone on the forum can decide the winner.

Not much of a flex LOL. But I loved the colors on the head of my yellow coris. He went carpet surfing unfortunately. Just getting the post going since I know a lot of folks have some really cool wrasses.

Beautiful transition. Mine also jumped. I left a thumb size opening in the corner of the tank (it's a corner flap for cords and pipette feeding) and she went through during the weekend :-(

I've got to work out which of my wrasses gets to be highlighted. The leopard/queen of the tank? The pink streaks? The strange pencil wrasse? The flashing exquisite fairy!?

Stunning! What wrasse is that?
Twinspot. Coris aygula. Collected because juveniles are easy and swim into tidal pool zones, and because they are adorable. But they should be banned because they turn into 4 (FOUR) foot long monsters that will eat all of your fish. I can't imagine how many get dropped off at local aquariums...

Cmon people, not enough wrASSe pics. And you call yourself hobbyists!
I keep trying, but my guys are so zippy. I'm going to give it a shot while getting into feeding position--they all stop and wait when they see me with a tube in the corner of the tank.
