Aquamaxx co-3 up and running!

A fellow reefer was selling his aquamaxx co-3 skimmer, so I graciously took it off his hands. This should work quite well in the new setup.
Need to loft it up about two inches, though. Advice?

That looks like a beast skimmer! What's it rated for?

Too much for my 220 total water volume (tank plus huge sump)

Nice! If you need to prop it up, you can call John at AA to make you an acrylic stand or you can just use zip ties and egg crate. Both work well. If you go with John, make sure he doesn't charge you above $30. The stands are made from scrap acrylic that barely cost a few bucks. He made mine in like 5 minutes while I was waiting in his office.

You can get the scrap 1" acrylic from paragonolastic for penny on the dollar

put it in 8.5" of water and set bubbles to break at the bottom of the cup and let er' rip.

used 2" PVC valves and a piece of marble tile to elevate the skimmer to the appropriate depth. This thing is working like a champ, and I can't even hear it running.
