Aquaripure

i was looking into getting a koralin cal reactor and turning it into a denitrator .. i have the sulfur and the arm media but no reactor....

so i saw the ad for the aquaripure on the sponsor list and checked it out
id need to get the x large one but the 380.oo price tag with the 30.oo shipping makes me wonder if anyone has tried one out..

my tank is a 190gal mixed reef about 12 decent sized fish about 200 lbs of rock, sump / fuge is a 110gal with mangroves in a 3" sand bed, all the baffles are full of rubble rock, 90 gal frag tank pretty stocked with 4 fish.. skimmer is a custome made cone from a reefer on another site .. says the skimmer is rated for about 220 so im thinking about upgrading skimmers to an Xp5000ext but the price tag is twice the Aquaripure..

ive basicaly tried every product that has been made for the hobby.... yes i even tried the "ECO - aqualizer"..... didnt do jack..lol

so i want to get some opinions if anyone has used this reactor


or if maybe Aquaripure wants to give me one to try out on my tank... :yes2:

never hurts to throw it out there...lol

Hey Mike, Hit up "Mr.Plant" and ask him what he thinks of his. He has one and says it works great. If you get one please let us know if you like it too. I'm curious myself. I've been Vodka dosing which has worked great but this denitrifying unit sounds very low maintenance and seems to work really well.

Have you tried/ruled out bio-pellets? basically a nitrate reduction tool for much less.

yah ive seen a few reefers say theyve wiped out all or most of their sps when they start using bio pellets so im not even going to think about that one

yah i like the aquaipure because it doesnt need any power but just a feed line which ill just run from my manifold.. all the other ones i see have a recic pump
