Aquarium Stand Padding or Styrofoam or?

I see a lot of what looks like Styrofoam under people's tanks. What is the material that we should be using under our tanks?

people use yoga mats, rubber mats, carpet padding, sheets of foam,..... budget plays a big role. rubber mats are really good, but expensive compared to the others.

It's a styrofoam sheet you get at Lowe's or home depot. Comes in a 4x8 sheet and thickness depends on your liking or the size "weight" of your tank

On my 70 I used the pink insulation foam from HD. Only because it came in 4x4 sheets and fit inside the car easily.

To spread the weight evenly, make up for any imperfections in the stand or the aquarium bottom.

Look one post up. I use 1/2" under my 300. I guess u could use 1/4" under the stand. I wouldn't want to go to thick tho.
