Asterinas Got a Huge Outbreak

So it's really no big deal that they are in my tankBUT.. There are about 2k of these suckers that just popped up. My skimmer has been going nuts for a few days.overflowing at times when I have had no other issues.. SRO5000INT.
You guys think that my skimmer going nuts recently is because of the outbreak of these stupid asterinas? Never noticed it before when I had them blow up...

I had a massive outbreak and got a couple harlequins. They took care of em in a couple weeks (almost gone now). My skimmer has always been a bit wonky though, not necessarily related to the asterina's, I don't believe.

i never worry about them, we have thousands in every tank at our facility and i never even bother with them. free clean up crew.

if the skimmer is wonky and you have an "outbreak" its likely a source of other dissolved organics feeding them and affecting the skimmer....
