2 ply is better. Less chance of it tearing and you ending up with sh** under your nail beds.
Nope.

2 ply might feel good and save your fingers from going "there", but it contains resins that give it tensile strength when wet- these resins eventually dry & crack if not used in 6 months.

During the zombie apocalypse your bunghole would be so dirty if you fell under the 2-ply trance. Think of the children!

over at the zombie apocalypse forums they argue about baseball bat or machete to carry at all times since automatic weapons will eventually run out of bullets.

Problems with machetes is they don't have the knob on the end, unlike bats. So if your hands get bloody anf/or slippery you risk the blade flying out of your hands.

Just like all cars are the same. They all drive exactly the same wether you pay $10k or $100k!

:der:
Great comparison. A poop skimmer that sits in the sump and makes bubbles and a car that you have a personal comfort connection with, etc. Nevermind grasshopper.

Oooo...and all for the price you could actually buy a nice commuter car for.... lol.

The reason for my great comparison was because you said "IMO this is funny because in the end...all those skimmers just spin/blow tiny little bubbles that waste sticks to and goes into a waste container."

Now I don't know if you can understand this but all skimmers are not created equal. I am happy for you that whatever skimmer you have has been working great for you for however many years it has been. Other people, like myself, have not been so lucky. I was unhappy with my previous skimmer and decided to spend more to get a what I hoped would be high quality great performing skimmer.

The very basic level of a description would be what you described "skimmers just spin/blow tiny little bubbles that waste sticks to" but there are several different factors that determine a skimmers ability to do that, but I am sure you know all about those.

The purpose of this forum is for people to share information on reef products, techniques and their tanks. If it cracks you up that people are passionate about that then you may be in the wrong place.

I also enjoyed how you started saying "Everyone likes what they like and pays what they want to pay. The end." and then went off on a rant about how all skimmers are equal and the one you bought years ago does the exact same job as a newer more expensive skimmer.

Great comparison. A poop skimmer that sits in the sump and makes bubbles and a car that you have a personal comfort connection with, etc. Nevermind grasshopper.

I think Its more than enough, the problem is if I wet skim I get 1-2 gallons a day but there isn't enough skimmate locker big enough to hold it. I am seriously thinking of running a line to the drain later on.

Dry skim is 1/2 gallon of very thick sludge. So far it exceeded my expectation. Remember this is a lot bigger than bk 300, slightly smaller than sro xp8000 but perform a lot better than the knock off. If you have doubts talk to Greg Carrol or Chad D. I don't know why you think its small its 33" tall with bubble production that is so efficient that I never seen before even compare to my friends high end skimmer ( BK, vertex, etc) Taking video or picture won't do it justice unless you compare it side by side. You are welcome to see it.
