I would say run all three:) Here is a picture of the fixture I built for my 400. 5 Kessil 360we, 16 48" T5HO, 14' of Reefbrite XHO strip, and some Profilux SIMU strips. All channels dimmable and controlled by on board Apex EB8 and VDM modules. The light has awesome color. Reefbrite come on from 0 to 40% first and last 2 hours of day and Kessils come on for main lighting with 2 T5 zones. It is very easy to play with color and par as my light is only 8" off the water.

I was going to bore 2 4" holes in a 8 bulb ATI 36" for my 90 and strip out the center 2 bulbs for a couple Kessils, but found a great deal on ATI Hybrid so shelved that project. I think I will still add a Reefbrite to the Hybrid because it is the best dawn to dusk with dimming module!

Warning be careful adding Reefbrites and start out with a few hours a day, I put them on my 12 hour light cycle on my frag and peeled 3 acros the first day. They are much stronger than the par shows and the dimmer module is a safe upgrade.

Question
I have a 48x30x20 that need lighting. It'll be mixed reef but mostly LPS & SOFTIES.
I'm thinking
36" all blue reefbrite, 2x ATI 48" T5‘s, 2x Kessils 360's, 2x ATI T5 and all blue reefbrite.

Any one local have Ati and Reefbrite combo ? Is the shimmer there as much as a Kessil ? Wanted to use my Ati and Kessil but doesn't look as clean as the Reefbrite and Ati ? Any input or info
If u want the cleanest look, and don't wanna drop a ton of cash on a ATI hybrid, go DIY. Use an 8 bulb ATI and remove 2 bulbs and add in some diy led strips.

This is a 6 bulb ATI with 2 bulbs removed on my frag tank. It gets a lot of shimmer and looks super clean

Some people don't like diy, but I'm just throwing it out there as a possible third option.

Is your tank peninsula or up against a wall? If up against a wall you will only need 1 reefbrite strip. I like the XHO, but if was adding to a ATI fixture would go with the standard Tech LED from Reefbrite to match color of light housing. I was going to build the same light you are talking about for my 90 and regret settling for the Hybrid, the Hybrid can't be controlled from Apex and it is impossible to do quick changes or show someone the tank all blue with the touch of a button. If you do have Apex think about adding a EB4 on board so you can have one cord coming off fixture for power and one for control.

If you could find a 6 or 8 bulb 36" Powermodule or Sunpower for cheap you could start out with adding the Reefbrite, then add the Kessils if you want more color and control. I would also recommend that anyone adding Reefbrites get the dimming module, it will plug into Apex and give you the most incredible dawn dusk and while the colors of my fish do not show well in all blue(corals look amazing with that fake frag swap color temp)watching them all go crazy as they spawn as the lights get to there lowest setting. Very cool.

Yes Chance a grip of cash and even more time went into LightZilla, but building it and having all the control is priceless. Chance I would like to order a Reefbrite strip in your group buy, I will measure exactly and call the store but need a 22" Tech Led, it will have to be special order to go the length of my Powermodule on my frag tank.

I will try and get some more pictures later today.

I'm running a 6 bulb ATI Sunpower with 2 Reef Brite XHO's. I've been playing with different bulb combos with my T5s. What is your bulb combo? Thanks

That's exactly what I'm going be running. Well, one rb for now. Do you see shimmer when running the t5's 100% percent?

I had a 6x54w ATI Sunpower with the ReefBrite Tech Actinic last year b4 I made a switch over to the Hydra 52s. I would say that the shimmering is barely seen once all 6 x 54w are on. You have a XHO version and it is more powerful than the Tech version. Hopefully, you are getting the shimmering.

OP, I had these set up last year.

1- 48" 6x54w ATI Sunpower and RB Tech version in actinic
2- 48" 6x54w ATI Sunpower and RB Tech version in actinic and two Kessils A350W
3- 48" 6x54w ATI Sunpower and two Kessils A350W

I liked the cleaned look of both ATI Sunpower and RB LED better. If you are looking for a clean and aesthetic set up, The ATI and RB is a good combo to go.

My sunpower runs 6- 24w bulbs so am hoping that the reefbrite will allow for more shimmer due to the lesser wattage t5 bulbs.
