ATI T5 retrofit

Hello,
I got a ATI 48” T5 set up with 3 xr15 gen 5 blue. Im thinking of not using the T5 and instead put either reef bright or orphek. Question is how can I reto fit it. Has anyone done this ?

Which of the two is better.

Can I put it inside where the t5 bulbs used to be or does it have to be on the outside.

Lastly does anyone have 48” reef brite led hybrid kit for sale lol

Biggest thing is I have read that t5 degrade over time so your changing the bulbs every 6 months. But from month 1-6 your never getting Same par because of the decay. Where as the LED should keep the same par.

Also I know t5 bulbs are not great for the environment so you know trying to do my part lol.

like that? i'm looking into options for adding some bars or t5 to my xr15s as well, but the reef brite hybrid thing just seems like a terrible deal

i'd probably just sell the t5 unit and get something else, depending on what level of clean look you're looking for

my issue is i individually hung all 3 of my xr15s, so if i hang led bars.. i'm getting into serious science project status territory lol. the aquatic life t5 hybrid actually seems like a really decent solution. i've always wanted to run t5, but just found ways to avoid. but a couple led bars feels like a smarter long term solution

Ya like that. I would just replace the fixture with that fixture

I think it’s closer to 9-12 months, that being said. Leds will also degrade much quicker than you think. Is the issue not wanting to change too often or losing par?

Wouldn’t put too much into. I run all T5 and change the bulbs every 12 months. No issues with growth or color.
