ATO modification

Ive heard there is a way to modify the ATO from JBJ so that it wont shut off after 5min. anyone know how to do this?

Not a mod... just an adjustment built into the unit.

yea, built in, but not typically user accessable, so still a mod...

if they put a knob on it and stuck it out the case, then yea, an adjustment...

Not sure if the 'information' is inthe 'users' manual or not, but that would help out a lot of folks also...


not many folks would open a unit up, and explaining how easy it is and how the mfg supports it, may make it more desirable for those that are less 'hands on' to undertake...

A 3.5 minute "standard" setting is a bit too short, IMO. Having to fiddle with the float switches to get it to "reset" doesn't make a lot of sense. Perhaps they should consider putting in a reset switch along with this adjustment...

Been thinking of getting something like that for the kids tanks, but honestly, a single switch and an aqualifter should do me fine...

i have mine set to 15 minutes becase i am using an aqualifter pump. and it goes slow.
