In an effort to save some electricity, and since I no longer need strong lighting with no anemone, and because I tried skimping on MH bulbs and the cheap a$$ Iris ones gave me cyano bad, I am considering going T5. I currently have 2x250w MH and 2x65w PC(just for sunrise/sunset). Considering I have very little $$$ at the moment to put towards the tank(just over $100), what retrofit kit do you guys recommend? This would go under my canopy above 6" above the water. Thanks, Dave

I am hoping to purchase this from Chad, if that helps at all...

Thanks Rob, but way out of my budget. Maybe any option is and I may just have to replace the MH bulbs with some better quality ones, but right now I have to stay as close to the $100 as possible. Thanks for the link though...

BTW, I'm only keeping zoas and some LPS right now, so no high lighting requirements any more....

Thanks, I see the setup you are talking about, reviews are not that good, but sounds like you get what you pay for. Most of them said the LEDs stopped working quickly which is no big deal imho, as I would be still using my PC setup as sunrise/sunset and to supplement the actinic lighting. Thanks for the link...

@nick, yeah, if I do decide to go the way of the T5s, I will definitely be selling the original ballasts. the moguls are pretty old and probably not worth much, but the ballasts are the Lumatek multi-wattage 250/400w, great ballasts...
