Man, it's been like two years since I've last had a tank. My life has been incomplete. Now, things are looking up! A very generous and kind Craigs lister gave me this tank/stand/sump totally free. After some mega cleaning and acrylic buffing I've now got a decent little setup. I got 40 lbs of Pukani Fiji live rock in there and about 50 lbs of sand. After the rock die off and cycle sped up with Bio-Spira ammonia is now at zero. Picked up a couple Talbot's Damsels and a pair of my favorite Chalk Basslets. Can't wait for the sticks! :smile (2):

I came to this thread wondering what a "free reef" was! I thought it was some sort of special setup! Hahaha. I got my tank for $50 not realizing what I really was getting into (long history with tanks just not reefs) but I'm having a blast. Im going for more of a planted reef. Can't wait to see how yours progresses.

Fish wise, Ended up with one Talbot's damsel left out of the original trio and he was a terror. Bullied everyone including fish three times his size. Literally bit scales off of them. He's now in heaven may he rest in pieces. Midas Blenny also got too aggressive and he went to a new home. Current Fish list:
2x Sunburst Anthias
2x Chalk Basslets
Dwarf Possum Wrasse
Swales Swissguard Basslet

Soon to come- A pistol shrimp goby combo, a peaceful yellow fish and ???
