I have a Maxpect Gyre 4K with WiFi controller and use their Hydros app.
I need a battery backup that actually works.
I bought the Ice Cap V3 which they say is compatible and it only intermittently turned the blades for 1 rotation and with such low power it did even break the surface of the water.

After countless emails back and forth with Coral view I still had no success.

Any suggestions out there.

Thanks

I think they are working on a battery backup now. Possibly being released soon?

Thanks, I bought the Duracell 660 battery backup for $499 from Costco. Everything runs fine off of it EXCEPT my Fluval sp4 return pump. It will not work on a battery backup. Without the return I basically bought a $500 battery for the gyre.
The good thing is the gyre will run for a long time And I can plug in a lot of other electronics and even my refrigerator in the event of a power outage.
It's way more than I need for the purpose that it was intended.
Hopefully a battery will come out soon for the Maxpect
