I have two pre-quarantined wrasses arriving tomorrow from Dr. Reef: a blue star leopard wrasse (Macropharyngodon bipartitis) and a yellow "coris" wrasse (Halichoeres chrysus).
Caveat is that two of each are being shipped. Mike from Dr. Reef's Quarantined fish is going to trial a variation in shipping methods to see if survival is improved for the leopards and Halichoeres wrasses. I can't add three or four wrasses to my tank.
So there MIGHT be two alive-on-arrivals of each tomorrow. If they are alive and survive through acclimation (multi-day), I want to find homes for them ASAP.
I have a tank set up as a "landing pad" for the wrasses that will be salinity matched to their bag water. Details on the tank below if interested. I will add the alive-on-arrival wrasses to the tank and let them relax in ~2" of sand. They will be fed hatched BRS baby brine shrimp, Reef Nutrition Mysis Feast, ROE and Pods, and TDO pellets. I will slowly raise salinity to my tank parameters by 0.002sg per day. Once acclimated to 1.026sg and eating, I will take two (my pick) for my tank, and the other two need to be sold.
QT'd yellow coris wrasse will be $60
QT'd blue star leopard wrasse will be $70

If interest is high, I will start waiting lists for each. I will update this thread with survival status.
Details on "landing pad" tank:
The tank has rocks from my clean system that were removed weeks ago and left in saltwater without light. They look clean by all appearances (still coraline on them, but no visible algae). The tank has a mix of new sand and sand from a tank breakdown that has been rinsed clean with tap water then RODI water--the broken down tank was quite clean with minimal algae. None of my tanks have ever shown signs of Ich, Brook, Velvet, etc.
