That was totally discouraging! but I left the tank on high heat at 95 degrees and pointed power heads at parts of the tank and slowly chipped away. I threw in bacteria from live rock from others tanks. took a couple of hours a day for a week but it worked! I was left with minimal scratches but it beats having to buy a new tank. I feel very lucky and blessed to have a tank that I can be proud of. I'm going to pour love into this and hopefully You can enjoy with me as it evolves into something better.

After trying out stark Lights I really hate the aesthetics of them but I feel they provide good growth lighting. can anyone prescribe a cheap light that I can run with the starks that would add nice pop to the corals? I was thinking 2 t5 atinic bulbs but would that drown out the LEDS? Stunners?

Hey ben why don't you try a turf algae scrubber for your tank....heard good things about this method.....am going to try it when i upgrade my tank
