I'm in the market for a new reactor, last one I had(2littlefishies) was good but I found it difficult 2 open and seal without leaks. So I'm looking for something that's easy in and out and leak proof! Lmk what you guys have had success with.

I had similar problem. Replace the o ring once in a while. And there is no need to tighten the cap as much as you can, just enough is the key :)

why does it take a long time to get the lid off? its only a few treads and should come right off. maybe you over tightened it and striped the threads and that's why it leaks and is hard to remove. if so the id say you are in the market for a new one lol. maybe the BRS reactor then? can those tumble? not sure.

Do u also use plumbers tape when u close? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nope, it is very simple in my case. I don't tighten it too hard so open is a poc. There is not much pressure in side the canister so no need to secure it so hard. The ring lasts even longer when not squeezed so hard ;-)
Also what pump do u have on it? My pump is a tiny one...I think it is 160gph rating

I have a viaaqua that you can have..I'm a bit far but it's all yours...brs works well as long as you only use the sponge on top with the reusable cartridge. Aquamaxx works good too. I had it plumbed thru my manifold on a thumb ball valve....but I've since taken it all off line once I got my cadlight BR1 reactor dialed in...

BRS deluxe reactor all the way. It has a red air release button up top, to relieve air pressure seal. You can open without tools, though it is basically an RO unit cartridge.

We use the BRS reactors at our shop. Super easy to use, no tools needed to open them, and with the internal cartridge changing the media is quick and painless. Here is our setup (bottom is for the QT and top is for the frag system):
