For me, I'd have a generator for basic life support for the corals/fish. The corals will be ok w/o lights for a couple of days so make sure they have flow and heating and/or cooling. My generator provides enough power for that as well as to keep the fridge running.
Ok, lets talk generators. What direction: whole house or just a portable for plug in to frig, tv and a couple lights. do we need a new thread on generators, I don't know anything about them and feel like i should know a lot about them

Whole house is the most convenient, but also most expensive. Some are natural gas powered, regular gas, or DIESEL. I'd have a hard time justifying a whole house generator consider the few times I've used my portable generators. The portables I can also use for camping which is nice. A lot more discussion on this, just a few thoughts to fire off before the real discussion happens.
Your tank should be fine looks like you'll have power from 6pm-8am so reverse your lights and get a battery powered air pump
I went 3 days with no power on my old nano cube... Edison had a transformer blow at my apt which in turn fried all the wires in the splice box that went to the next transformer then to our main building panel.. It was a mess!!
They brought in a towable generator for the apartments... But since the wires fried from the transformer to the main panel our building was SOL for 3 days!!
I took a cup and would scoop up water and pour it back into the tank like 10 times every so often to airate the tank...
Everything survived
But like I said looks like you'll have power over night
