Hi reefers!

I am purchasing a Reefer 250 tomorrow, fully operational and still wet. Any advice on how to handle the transport? I have a full size SUV and can fit the contents in the back but how can I ensure the tank and sump are safely packed? I have 5 and 10 gallon buckets for the livestock, rocks and sand.

There's coralline algae and will need to scrape some of that stuff off. What is best practice on the plumbing? Buy new o-rings? Any tips when putting things back together?

Thoughts anyone?

Many thanks!

All new plumbing, new sand, and new water. Air pumps for all the fish, or circulation pumps. Heaters if water is getting cold.

joseserrano - roger that, thanks for the reply. Definitely new water, going BB again on this tank. Not good at plumbing at all - this is my first sumped tank. I have a running Nuvo 20 and can home the fish and some corals temporarily. Other than your typical online stores, will Lowe's or Home Depot carry plumbing supplies?

I would set up a temporary holding area for the livestock. It’s kind of a pain but it lets you take your time with you new setup.
