I have a bicolor angel. Been in the tank for awhile now. I just purchased a hawkfish. When I released the hawkfish into the tank it swam into a cave. I saw my bicolor angel find it and instead of acting the way it always does with new fish, pushing or nipping, it started rubbing it with its tail. Angel has now found it multiple times and keeps, like painting it with its tail. Not nipping at all. I seen 2 lil nips at the beginning but more like gentle nips or sucks maybe idk.
I think it's very strange that this angel (who always beats newbies and whenever here and there when it's pissy) is being gentle and as if painting it with its tail.
Has anyone seen this behavior? What does this mean?

Tail wagging like that is still a form of aggression. Kind of like showing dominance. Keep an eye, but probably going to be okay.
