Big skimmer in Small tank?

is it ok to have big skimmer in small volume tank like 22 gallon + 30 gallon sump tank with ATB 840 or Bubble King Deluxe 200?
I have those ready, and don't want to spend more money on new skimmer.

It may over strip the nutrients from the water. But I always get the biggest skimmer I can get my hands on!

Over load for your small tank. You always get bigger round 3 times for your tank size but not like more than 10 times. Sell them and buy new small skimmer.

I always feel skimmer is underpowered for some reason.

I guess I have to find new skimmer but quiet is one of the option I am searching for.

U could always put the skimmer on a time and have it turn off at night so ur corals can feed.

I had an issue with a big skimmer on my small frag tank... it was almost impossible to tune.. it either wouldn't oull anything or wiuld overflow... I ended up selling my sca 302 and bought a nac3 needless to say I am much hapoier
