Is it normal for a Blue Hippo Tang to blow bubbles?? I've had him for months and have never seen him do it. I left the tank for a few days and today I come back and see him do it pretty frequently. Sometime I see he blow bubble through his mouth, sometimes when he swims around and a bunch of bubbles just come out of nowhere underneath him, maybe he farted. lolz. That's a lot of farting for 1 day though, will he be exhausted and die .. hahaha .. I'm just kidding. Seriously, I think the bubbles come out from his gills, is that normal? BTW, he's having some ich, I don't have a QT tank or hospital tank so I'm just gonna increase feeding a bit and hope we'll fight it off. He's eating really well and have been really active though. Before, he was always hiding a lot, but now he's out and swimming around.
Thanks

Blue tangs are some of the craziest fish and have so much character so I'm not surprised it's blowing bubbles. My yellow belly blue tang would pick up shells and take them to the top of my 30" tall tank and drop them and then swim to the side as to watch all the other fish go investigate. All the other fish would swim like crazy thinking it was food. I could almost hear the blue tang just laughing at them every time he would fool them.

you should call him tiny bubble, burpping and farting at the same time incredible, are you feeding fresh greens?
No i'm not. I tried feeding fresh green but he doesn't eat it. The only fish that eat the fresh green I gave is the Lunair Wrasse. Does fresh green make him fart like that .. :loldude:? If it does, I'll start feeding a lot of fresh green because that kinda kool to see him does that .. haha.

fresh green like leaf lettuce or broccoli contains lots of oxagen my Tang sometimes lets it out through thier gills plus it makes thier color brighter.
