DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I grabbed the wrong bottle obviously... meant to dose AcroPower. Did a 20 gallon water change, added fresh carbon... and have emptied the skimmer once already as its going nuts. Say a prayer to the reef gods for my tank if you would. After the first capful, I got a whiff of it and was like wait a second... and looked at the bottle. :frusty::frusty::frusty::frusty::frusty:

Anyone else do something stupid and have that OH SHI T moment right after.

I can't believe you actually admitted that. Hope all works out. How do the corals look and fish look?

Revive is pretty mild stuff, I can't imagine it causing any problems. Maybe your skimmer will be acting up for a few days, it might be a good idea to wet skim until it calms down.

When I first started out I was doing my first wc and didn't really understand why I kept adding water and it wasn't filling up. It was overflowing out the top of the tank from the back. So so so dumb, we all make dumb mistakes it's unexplainable. Maybe keep the stuff you dose in a completely separate place from now on? Goodluck keep us posted! I'm sure it will be fine

Thanks Aaron that makes me feel better. I'll do that.

Ya I normally keep the coral dips with the fragging stuff... I just had it all near my tank from last weekend. Its what I get for being lazy.

Oh you reminded me of something. Right after this happened I was filling my ATO res, and started dumping water in. Well I didn't open the container and spilled RODI all over LOL yes I was on a roll today. Hopefully I will weather the storm.

I had a screwed up nozzle on windex squirt a nice stream into my tank. All that happened was my skimmer overflowing constantly for a day. That and lack of sleep from checking in it all night.

I topped of my ato then did a 20g water change. Took me a minute to figure out why I could only get 15g back in. Didn't unplug my ato! :a43:

Wife had a dinner party with friends and the hosing on my return decided to popped off. I thought the tank crack on the bottom was chaos.

My worst was draining my 20g long into a 5 gallon bucket and walking away. Water all in my living room and down the hall on fake cheapo wood floors. Stayed up all nihht shop vacumming my floors and still squished for months. A reminder of my stupidity every time I went to bed lol

A cupful of revive in a 100+ gallon tank? No biggie around here
Ha!
I'm sure they reef gods will get around to saving your tank when they are done laughing at me. Good luck!

Dang bro that sucks. When I was getting natural see water for my WC I would have to add calcium to bring it up. I also had a bunch of other additives. To this day I don't know what I dosed that day, and I also didn't pay attention to what was happening to my tank when I was adding the water. Anyway, 10 min latter all the water was milky white and thick. I lost a Powder Blue tang that I had for over 1/2 year w/o ick, and a flame angel that had no beff with any coral. I was sad, and mad at my self but the experience made me change my habits and improve on my reefology.
