Many of us have been in reef keeping for years. But who has the oldest fish or coral.

I had a gigantic tank crash four years ago even though I have kept a saltwater tank for many years ( started when my daughter was either 13 or 16 and she's now 30, and yes I am so old I can't exactly remember how old she was when we started). My oldest fish or coral is three. Not much for bragging rights.

How about you guys? Share your oldie but goodie, fish or coral.

hmm.. i'm the current caretaker for Estaban's salsa wrasse, which survives a carpet surfing expedition, and salsa dosing by his wife, and then Omar's wrasse attacks.

i think the fish is like 7 years old or something?

Coral beauty I got from a lady on RC. She had it for at least 6 years and I've had it for at least 4.

So 10 yrs or so.. :)

Next would be my Black momma clown that I had for almost 5 yrs and the previous owner had for at least a year. So 6 yrs old.
That is getting really impressive; 10 year old tank fish

I set up my first sw tank about 5 years ago. One of my very first corals was a plain Jane torch. It has survived 3 upgrades, a half dozen crashes, and a long harsh learning curve. Even survived a heater malfunction of 96+ degree water when everything else melted. 5+ years and still kickin. For that reason I'd never get rid of it :)

A lot of the content from one of my first reef tanks is still in a tank at my office. I have a maroon clown and a toadstool that have been in my possession for over 13 years and the lady I got the maroon clown from had it for at least a year before me…the really funny part is, the lady that I bought the tank that had the maroon clown, turned out to be my wife's ex-boyfriend's mother

Started reefing a couple months before my 19 1/2 year old was born. No fish left from those dark ages but I do have a euphyllia thats been fragged repeatedly - not sure that counts. Also have the remnants of a scroll coral thats over 15 years old.
